It was a very subdued game, but we did enough without really going through the gears.

 

Garcia gave us a bit of a spark second half, and we played a lot better for a while.

 

One of them games where no one really stood out big style, but plenty of solid if unspectactular performances.

Gerrard - 6 - Not at his best today, dreadful dive, the 2nd one was a foul though

 

Kewell - 7 - Put some good crosses in and worked hard

 

Robbie - 7 - Typical deadly finish

 

Crouch - 6 - Was poor today, just didnt happen for him still got a good assist though

 

 

Garcia - 7 - Done more in his first 3minutes than Cisse done in the whole of the first half.

I'd give Sami 7 for dealing so well with Davies but apart from that those are about right. Maybe a 6 for Garcia who was lively when he came on?

Sami was hovering between a 6 and 7. I gave a 6 due to the fact that Bolton's forward line is one of the poorest in the Prem

Thought Kewell was our best player and Gerrard better with the defensive side of things than going forward (but the diving was really annoying, especially the second when it looked like there could have been something on if he kept his feet).

MOTM was a toss up between Xabi, Kewell and Sami, mind you, i thought the only laxdazy player was Gerrard, not at the races at all

weird, i thought xabi wasn't at the races in the first half but dug in and was much more of an influence in the second. he missed his guard-dog sissoko in there.
