Setting up in business

Want to voluntarily register for Vat in adavance so i can stick the vat number on company letterheads. Now HM Revenue & Customs want a business bank account registering which is fair enough, but i can't get the bank account until i sort the stationary out etc..., which i was going to do once i had a Vat number to get on the f***ing letterheads.

 

Nowt like being able to do it the f***ing simple way is there?

 

Means no Vat number will show on letterheads which looks slightly unprofessional, only way i can think of (unless someone knows something Customs aren't telling me) is to spend extra money that i could do without spending to get f***ing stickers made with the vat number on.

 

Any clues anyone?
