Found this from Rushie about the anniversary of the disaster, not new but still relevant:

"Every year on the anniversary of the disaster, we have held a memorial service for the victims. The families than come to anfield to have tea and mingle with the players and staff. It is a poignant occassion, but even the small talk is about how Liverpool ae progressing, will they win this trophy or that one. Hillsborough is never mentioned. It is not that we want to forget about it. Nobody who was there will ever be able to do that, nor would they want to. But mere words seem so pointless. The fact that we are all there is the best proof that we still care."

I have never thought of Rushie as articulate but he does appear to have captured the thoughts of many in relation to the memorial service in a couple of sentences.
