All intelligent lifeforms have conceeded that we have made massive progress this year as a TEAM. To work out for yourselves what on God's Green Earth you have to be upset about, try this little test ...

 

Pick the team from last year, as individuals, and say whether they have improved or not. Where a player has left, pick his replacement ...

 

Reina (Dudek).................... IMPROVED

Finnan ............................... IMPROVED

Riise .................................. IMPROVED

Hyppia ............................... IMPROVED (Massively)

Carragher .......................... SAME LEVEL

Kewell ............................... IMPROVED (Massively)

Gerrard ............................. IMPROVED

Sissoko (Hamman) ............. IMPROVED (Didi himself is same level)

Alonso ............................... SAME LEVEL, Recently Degraded performance

Garcia ............................... DEGRADED

Crouch (Baros) .................. IMPROVED

 

Others ....

 

Morientes ........................... SAME LEVEL

Cisse ................................. IMPROVED, Recently Degraded performance

Traore ............................... WHO KNOWS?

Fowler (Sinama) ................. IMPROVED....

 

and we also have Kromkamp and the kids - Warnock has improved too for example.

 

ONLY Garcia of the first XI has to take a real step up, and he's been unfit for three months. Xabi needs a rest, which anyone can see.

 

Now, HOW can things be as bad as the Kneejerkers make out when this is patently true? Do we have to win the Champions League every year to stop people getting slaughtered?

Why don't you work it out fer yerself

 

The last time I vehemently criticised the team, manger, tactics and so on was over a year ago - WELL before the Leverkusen last 16 game. A number of intelligent contributors on here asked me to calm down and to start making sensible, balanced comments. I thanked them for that then, and I do so again, now. Despite the fact we suffered quite a few defeats after mid February last year, I didn't go off the deep end like the t*** that I was earlier in the season. All I'm asking with THIS post is that people going off the deep end also try to look at things a little more sensibly.

 

Needless to say, Sammya and one or two others on this forum either never read any of my posts after Feb 2005, or ignored them.

 

So, a few direct questions to Sammya ....

 

How many times do you want me to say "I got it wrong"?

Do you want me to leave the forum completely?

Would it make you happy?

I must admit, my first reaction to seeing his post was 'You cheeky f*****' but fair is fair, he's admitted many times he got it wrong last year and has at least provided good reasons why people shouldn't criticise now.

I've said this for weeks now, the lack of skill combined with pace will hurt us.

 

We're struggling to get the goals at the moment, the strikers are coming to deep to join in play.

 

We're not creating enough chances and the ones that we do create are not being put away enough.

 

There is a lot to work on at the moment, but we have definately improved on last season.

Yes we might have improved but looking at the game last night you would never have believed it. We are in danger of going out, not beacuse we have met a better side but like under Houllier there are games when we do not defend out title as we should. Too many players put in lack lustre performances as if it didn't really matter to them. Only Finnan and Reina can pick up their wages without having red faces

If anyone isn't concerned after last nights game they are just hangers on and have never seen LFC as a proper unit. Christ against a crap side who have been fighting with each other all week we couldn't test the keeper ONCE

how do you define each of those?

 

 

7-right wing with pace,skill etc who can beat his man and deliver crosses

9-Classical centre forward who can finish chances and make their own.

10-attacking midfielder link between forward and midfield in the Zidane,Aimar,Deco mould.

11-left wing with pace,skill etc who can beat his man and deliver crosses. Mark Gonzalez when he finally gets here.
