Bruno Cheyrou is delighted to be playing a defensive midfielder role for Bordeaux.

 

The 27-year-old is on loan from Liverpool having failed to make the expected impact in England following his move from Lille in 2002.

 

He spent last season at Marseille on a similar deal, but he is now thriving in a new role at Bordeaux.

 

"My role onto the pitch has changed a lot since Lille or Liverpool," said Cheyrou.

Jesus the Bordueax coach must have lost the plot! I watched the entire recent Lyon -Bordueax match the other week and Bruno set up some great moves but his tackling was very poor. He gave away a couple of free kicks and ended up getting booked for bringing down a lyon player!
