Sheffield arena last night

 

The Ark are fantastic - camp as Christmas, like Marc Bolan/Freddie Mercury/Michael Monroe hybrid fronting New York Dolls. Gutter guitars, catchy choruses and a large dose of coulnt'giveaf*** arrogance. Had m grinning from ear to ear. Superb stuff

 

Juliette - not popular around here I know, but feck can she cut it live. And she's bendy - eyewateringly bendy. Great garage/punk band, great frontwoman. Decided to dive into the crowd at the end, just to get a reaction.

 

And was home with bottle of red watching Firefly before the Darkness made it to the stage

 

One thing I have noticed is Sheffield audiences are the worst for just sitting there watching. If you want to sit down and watch a band, feck off home and watch a DVD. Otherwise get off your fat, lazy arses and show some appreciation for the bands.
