Got this email from a totally football-phobic/clueless friend. She sent it to all her friends so it must be doing the rounds somewhat.

 

Made me smile.

 

1981 In Review:

1. Prince Charles got married.

2. Liverpoolcrowned soccer Champions of Europe.

3. Australialost the Ashes tournament.

4. Pope died.

 

2005 In Review:

1. Prince Charles got married.

2. Liverpoolcrowned soccer Champions of Europe.

3. Australialost the Ashes tournament.

4. Pope died.

 

In the future, if Prince Charles decides to remarry, someone please

warn

the Pope.
