Some women no matter how 'fit' they may be

Not as good as the story about the Newcastle season ticket.

?

To me the story is more a sad reflection of the neveau football fan than anything else.

1. If he was a proper football fan, then his wife would know what team he supports. No matter how stupid.

2. If He was a proper football fan, he'd know how difficult it would be to get tix for that match, and thus would have said "how on earth did you get them?", he'd have at least tried to get himself tickets at one point in his married life, and she would have heard about it. My wife has only tried to buy tickets for me once, she had never bought football tickets before, but she still knew to be on the phone at 9am on the morning they went on sale.

3. He is quite clearly not a proper football fan, so who gives a f*ck if he can get tickets.

3a. He's a Chelsea fan, so f*** him.

The Newcastle story is about the empty seat, whereby the bloke next door to it constantly phones the club to ask why they haven't sold it. The club insist it's gone, and won't allow anyone else to sit there. This happens repeatedly until the first home game after Xmas, whereupon a bloke appears in the seat, and explains that his wife got him a season ticket in August, but saved it as a Christmas present.

Quite probably aprocyphal that.
