DVD shrink question

using DVD shrink could I pop a DVD (say one of the ones I bought the kids) into my pc, copy it to the hard drive and then burn it on a blank DVD? is it easy? is it quick? is DVD shrink free?

 

be nice to back up the kids DVD's as they are a bit tough on them. wouldn;t dream of doing it for the Netflix ones. Oh no.
