iPod Nano

Daughter wants one of these for Christmas. Sold out all over so I've ordered one directly from Apple. Of course THEN someone mentions to me that they're basically crap etc etc batteries boll1xed blah blah. Anyone good/bad experience of these?

The screen scratches very easily apparently, so might be worth getting a case as well.

its got to be said that any ipod scratches very easily... thats the big problem with Apple and they aren't addressing it... my mate got an Ipod Video one last week, 60gb, £300.... two hours after getting it he showed me the screen and it had scratches all over it... and he had it in a case too....
