That list should definitely contain a Talk Talk album.

It takes a nation of millions not being on the list says more about those that decided the list than the list says about the merits of 80's albums

Yeah, this is probably the correct top 10 (no particular order)

AC/DC - Back in Black
Iron Maiden - Live After Death
Metallica - Master of Puppets
Whitesnake - Slide It In
Scorpions - World Wide Live
Ozzy Osbourne - Tribute
Guns & Roses - Appetite For Destruction
Gary Moore - Wild Frontier
Helloween - Keeper of the Seven Keys I & II
Queensryche - Operation Mindcrime

I obviously agree with one of them.

After that our opinions differ wildly.

It's just impossible to make a list of just 10 records, so here are some of my favorite ones - in no particular order.

Some I’ve never heard on there, will give them a go, Donald Fagen first up I reckon.

Also, my life in the gush of boasts is a good punchline to a joke I can’t be bothered to write, if anyone is in the market for one.

Back in Black s***s all over those Beardsley

And most of the others mentioned.

Was thinking of AC/DC after I made that list, but I was very late to that particular party. Didn't like them back in the day, but love them now.

And I somehow managed to leave out Prince - that should have been a no, no

Steve McQueen or Langley Park was a toss-up for me. Love them both.

I toyed with buying the Steve McQueen picture disc today but I decided that what sony have done with the sleeve looks quite s***.

No mention of Thriller?

Very few black artists on the lists (my own included)- no doubt a sign of our backgrounds

It’s on my list. So is Rick James’ Street Songs. I could have had a whole list just with funk, soul and disco. I should definitely had both Prince and EWF on that list, and probably the first Stanley Clarke & George Duke Project too.

Decided to use your list to discover stuff I haven't heard of before as we appear to like some of the same stuff (The Pogues, Billy Bragg, Mudhoney).

Started with Rattlesnakes.  Well golly, that was rather good!

My only regret is that I hadn't heard this record 10-15 years ago as an Arts student, I would have eaten it up with a ladle.
