The deco did give the benefit of my ring cameras outside the house having a stronger signal but I just didn't like the hit on the speeds.

Quite expensive and lower marks that TP Link mesh equipment on Which. 

Am looking at mesh as I have an extender which works well on its own...... but it is a pain as has different network name and my two sonos devices are either on the router network or the extender network

All I’ll say is that if you have the ability to run cable between your main router and your secondary one, then you’ll get way better and more consistent results.
 

Mesh is a compromise- but one that’s necessary for a lot of houses

I could get a text message to tell me the dishwasher is done. I could get a text message to tell me my popcorn is ready. I don't.

The washing machine does not have wifi.

It does sing a lovely song when the cycle is finished, as does the matching dryer.
