News of our kitchen has spread around Bham - we've been doing deliveries over but now there's a Q at the door each night. Planning meeting tonight to decide how to cater/cope. Heartbreaking stuff. And

If he sees Paul Weller or Johnny Marr wear one he'll soon change his mind.

My condolences man. Ouch

All poorer areas no doubt. Heard on the radio there has been a spike in cases in Toxteth. Can’t help but have the immediate reaction of - this is divisive bullsh*t.

Yeah, local lockdowns are slways going to be hugely divisive. People wi of course question where the boundariesare drawn. Imagine how bad it will be when a whole town is locked down over a spike in specific estate.

Poor people in inner cities are going to be targeted with this. Rural folk with their VE Day congas and beach trips won't be.

Complete incompetence again. Haven’t even announced from when the rules apply. We in Leicester have been waiting for things to open and it was down to certain politicians in Leicester to find out what is happening and tweet it.

You can meet people from another house in the pub, just not in a house. In Halifax that is, not Tunbridge Wells, that's fine. Get f***ed you Tory c****.

This is going to get worse by the way. They've been incompetent and lying since day one, this is their response to telling people to get back out to work and the pub. Autumn is on the way and then Brexit. This is just practice.

The number of new cases was 846 today and 763 yesterday - it's still way too high compared to the rest of Europe.

34 degrees tomorrow, 26 on Saturday - the beaches will be packed no doubt

They've done the Trump thing and just moved on from it. Stopped the daily briefings, not that they were worth much, and managed to shift it along even though the UK's numbers of cases and deaths are still way, way too high to be opening up like they have been. They've normalized 120 dead people per day when that should still be outrageous. Notwithstanding that those are all in England when Wales and Scotland have done a far better job of shutting it down.

Don't know what to do or where to go now. The UK has an inept, corrupt government in London, Wales and Scotland will continue to get screwed by it, the North just got shat on tonight by them, they're accountable to nobody and nothing and Boris Johnson is advertising for his own Sean Spicer to talk b*llocks in his place for a hundred grand a year. Riot, anyone?

It's a proper head f***.

The number of deaths has kind of dropped off a bit but we're still getting more deaths than the rest of Europe and the new cases figures kind of bob up and down but other than the misleading weekend figures we're never really close to regularly being less than in the 100's.

I get that tens or hundreds of thousands (millions probably) of people's livelihoods are in serious threat with a lockdown and we've got to have a go at reopening stuff but you do have to worry at how we're still getting so many new infections and then of course how things will pan out in the Autumn.

The biggest concern is that we all know this lot in power don't really care about the majority of us and even if they did they're so f***ing inept it's impossible to have any faith in them sorting it out.

Hancock has absolutely no idea how the "spike" in infections in these areas has come about - it's so utterly transparent that he's lieing.

It is a mystery how a few weekends after Independence Day there appears to be some sort of spike

You can't socially distance in someone's house. Not normal houses anyway.

So people in these areas can't sit in their own garden with other households.....but can go to a pub.

And go to work and mix with people there. So work, spend, get that economy going peasants. But no seeing your loved ones no matter how careful you've been because this government is a bunch of lying incompetent c****.
