He will only lose the job title that’s all.  They’re in thrall to him.  They think he’s a thin bitter-faced genius because he swears at them.  He is swearing at them now and they’re running about spouting off that he is a caring parent.

And people used to talk about cults.

I’ve just been intrigued enough to find out who Cummings wife is, almost to prove to myself that a woman exists who would f*** him.

It turns out that she is the descendant of a man called Evelyn Baring who became the de facto ruler of Egypt in colonial times. His views as you’d expect are appalling to read about;

“According to Baring, the ‘Orient’ and its inhabitants were meant to be subdued and disciplined by the West, resulting in the West's show of strength through subjugation of the East.[14]

In 1901 Baring discovered that increased enrollment in primary schools had resulted in a growing demand for secondary school enrollment opportunities.[15] Women and men alike had begun to seek higher education as an opportunity to be eligible for government positions and upward mobility.[15] Instead of increasing Egyptians’ opportunities to receive education, Baring held that subsidized education was not the province of the government and instead raised tuition fees at existing primary schools in order to cut enrollment.[16] Both women's and men's institutions suffered from Baring's new legislation, fueled by his fear that an educated working class might foster dangerous nationalistic sentiments against the colonial government.[16] Baring went on to curb opportunities for women already working in the professional world by discrediting their skill; he urged Egyptians that female doctors were not as adept as their male counterparts and that, in the Western world, men were the most trusted medical practitioners.[17] When Egyptians complained about the lack of jobs available to them (due in large part to limited access to education), Baring went so far as to deny the existence of an Egyptian nationality. He worked specifically to limit employment opportunities for women.”

They will all forget about it in 4 years time at the polling station

4 days. This doesn’t make it past the Bank Holiday in the news cycle

The cabinet are circling the wagons around him, all tweeting out support. He's going nowhere.

Same ones will be briefings against him

That Kuenssberg is f***ing incredible. Replying to other journalists 'correcting' them like she's a government spokes-person.

She is a govt spokesperson, it's getting blatant now.

That no one in BBC management seems to give a s***, is appalling.

Sky News is far less biased these days which would have seemed unthinkable 10 years or so ago.

State of this c*** defending her on her Twitter:

So he went to Durham (several hours for the kid in a small, confined sapce with two sick adults) because if he had followed policy and quarantined then he would have endangered his child?

What happens to his respect for Cummings then when he realised that he has been responsbile for communicating that suddenly 'dangeorus' policy to the rest of us?

Some suggestion that the Deputy Chief Medical Officer said that travelling to arrange emergency childcare is an exception - the day after Cummings had done this. If so then she needs sacking as well, if not criminal charges bringing.

Imagine if you have been one of these people actually warned or charged or fined by police for breaching some lockdown rule.
The hypocrisy would have you livid.

They forget how they collectively lost their s*** when the Scottish Chief Medical Officer breached lockdown, even after she resigned.

Called the police, don't they?

It’s a horrible situation when you’re saving this guy over sending out the right public health message. Sums up where the intention is, they don’t give a f***

Surely there must be some one out there that's been charged with this??

This has nothing to do with COVID - it's just a party political broadcast about his new plans for transport infrastructure - it's utter b******s.

They're dusting off Grant Shapps for the briefing today.

It’s outrageous the way these “briefings” have been used to have a daily party political broadcast. Shapes is just boasting about new dual carriageways.

The hypocrisy here is mind boggling.

They really should just admit it was an error of judgement by Cummings - the squirming to twist the message to make his actions acceptable is appalling
