Wolverhampton Wanderers vs Liverpool, Premier League, Thurs 23 Jan 2020, 20.00hrs

Recommended Posts

We are usually a bit crap in jan. If this is our crap jan it’s half decent so far.

Scary thing is that we may well hit form for the run in...

I'm desperate for us to get through tomorrow unscathed. These 3 games have stood out for a good while. 9 points would be huge.

A point would not be a disaster. We will probably snot them anyway though.

I'm a tad uneasy about tomorrow. Happily take a point now, but yeah, we should twonk em.

Agreed. A draw keeps us ticking over. A win is massive.

Think it'll be Fabinho, Hendo, Gini personally.

Wolves looked a bit shot against ManU in the Cup replay

Old age catching up?

He is getting his Joneses and Jameses mixed up

totally full strength, real qu is Ox or Lallana in the MF 3

I don't want to see Lallana again for a bit. He almost worked his way into my affections recently, but he was back to his old self coming on against United.

I'd rather AOC and then give Jones a run last 20.

United was a tough game to come on in, everybody looked totally knackered. He'll captain the team against Shrewsbury though I expect?

Yeah would have thought so. He seems good with the youngsters, when he isn't swinging at them!

We cant keep winning, would take a draw here tbh, real tough game.

Why not? Thoroughly looking forward to a league record that reads 37 - 1 - 0.

Make up your mind Stevie, the below was literally from 4 and 3 days ago

When these lads have won the league we can start talking about best team ever etc. Let's not get ahead of ourselves.

I'm still not breathing out until it's mathematically certain and Henderson's doing the little feet patter.

Oh I know we're going to win it Spammy. I'm just not celebrating until it's mathematically done.

And I think the best team ever thing absolutely stands: this is an amazing team, it's champions of Europe, but when they've won the old bread and butter we can start talking about best Liverpool team ever and not before.

We have won it though. This "won't acknowledge it until the trophy is lifted' is just for people more comfortable being curmudgeons at this point. Even the hand-wringing crowd have thrown in the towel.

Coolio. I just want us to get through tonight as it really feels like possibilities open up if we can dispatch Wolves given the run after it.

In some ways that would absolutely do my head in.

Because we were so close to perfection or because of the Manc thing? If it is the former then just think of all the knife edge games we could easily not have won. If it’s the latter then I can’t help. Man Utd fans will not be able to celebrate their “achievement” out loud without being laughed at.

I don’t think it’s a “problem” we’ll have to face unfortunately.

If we don't win I'll start worrying, which is stupid cos I thought it was definitely over after Sunday

So if we lose tonight you think it will start a chain of events that will see us losing 5 more and City becoming unbeatable again?
