Liverpool vs Everton, Weds 4 Dec, 20.15

I didn’t think it was a pen. Van dyke just leant on him a bit as he was going down.

Calvert-Lewin is a cheating little prick. Seems like that’s literally all he has in the proverbial locker. The free kick when he just leapt into TAA was mental.

Davies, Iwobi and Kean are all beyond appalling too.

And yes, he does look for it.

It’s not far from being a pen, but it’s enough, Lewin just doesn’t quite get himself or the ball under enough control for me.

It’s the end game of wanting what you’ve ordered today to arrive at your house tomorrow. It’s still a choice we make rather than Fox News for me.

It should deffo have been a pen. We got away with that one.

Definitely

It was VAR'd. VAR is never wrong.

No red card though, the double jeopardy rule

Anyway, thought Mike Dean was decent overall

How is it that Everton have spent 500m in 3 years and he is still their main striker?

Double jeopardy only counts if you're deemed to have made an effort to win the ball. Willie Young still gets sent off with this version of the law

27 wins, 5 draws since we last lost.

Sky aren’t owned by Fox/Murdoch any more

In other news- peak Lovren? In parts excellent but at fault for both their goals

But they were.

Willie Young was about 5 yards outside the box, so never a pen

For those of you under 40, this is a 1980 FA cup final reference

Everton used to have a pretty good side.. Even when they had Hibbert in the line up.

Long gone are the days of Yakubu, Cahill, Gravesen, Andy Johnson, Jagielka

What they have got now is a complete mess after spending a fortune. Mina, Holgate, Pickford and Keane are a s***e group at the back... Tom Davies thinks he is better than he is as well... He's a donkey. f***ed up for both Leicesters goals at weekend and was a mess on the pitch tonight.

Not sure how they sort it out. It's hilarious though

It's a choice at the moment but it won't be in a few years when regular retail has been destroyed.

That was a thoroughly enjoyable game to watch. If we had scored 10, they couldn't really complain. There was an intensity to our game that's been missing a little recently. It was probably the outfield changes as much as the very nature of the game.

Hopefully, this bodes well for us in the coming weeks and keeps the regulars on their toes.

For some reason I always remember him as a stereotypical, big, Scottish hard man. Not as much finesse as Gordon McQueen.

Remember Alfie Conn? Always thought that was a cool name...

No - I know, that's why he did it, take the yellow, no pen. It's one of the great fouls

Not sure it changed the law in itself - much like Tommo's 'professional foul' in the 78 League Cup final replay though it was a part of the discussion that lead to the straight red card

Terry Mac in the LCF 1981 too - last min of ET, wonderful
