This is very much a sticking plaster approach to get through this winter, and it's cost me £65 and an afternoon. The plaster is lifting in places so it's definitely in the wall, On inspection it looks like the roof tiles don't quite overlap right in the corner so it might be that, doing anything with the roof terrifies me cost-wise.

 

your solution isn't the solution

do you have a drone?   great!!

 get photos of the area close-up and show it to a builder for a quote

 

it should take half a day to fix and then it's done

 

otherwise it'll cost you time and money to botch it up and then you have to do it properly at some stage and also sort out a larger affected area internally
