Think it's clear now it's not going to be voided.

Yeah it does seem that way now, far too much money to paid back by going down that route. You just wonder what will be the next obstacle to prevent us lifting it? An asteroid strike maybe.

Yellowstone is way overdue to erupt and this will end life on the planet as we know it (ignore the naysayers who are attempting to downplay the gravity of the situation)

He seems a nice lad. Like a friendly P.E teacher.

Not sure how anyone can disagree with what he says there.

Just been told the following, which was a briefing given to all senior staff at our nearest rivals for the league.

“as it currently stands, the domestic games will be played in June. In July European games and any left over domestic will be played. The Champions League final will be on 8th August. There will be a short break then 2020/21 season will start”

Bryan Swanson  @skysports_bryan

UEFA: Today’s conference call lasted just under two and a half hours. Not one association raised cancelling this season. European football still wants to finish current season - but only when safe to do so.

UEFA spokesperson: “It is impossible to make a declaration about the end of the season when we don’t yet know when we can restart.” (1/2)

“Once we have certainty on that, we can be more definitive about when to end the season.” (2/2)

Short break? Good luck with that.

Also this:

clubs and UEFA are all in agreement with it. They stand to lose 800 million pounds if they don’t see out the games from tv alone

It will be difficult I reckon. The information I got is first hand from someone on the clubs conference call.

I read that somewhere else on twitter today. In an ideal world they want a short break in August/September then straight in again.

The club should put a monitor on each seat and we can use Zoom to create an atmosphere

If they have to cancel the champions League... Then technically we are still European champions.... Until someone else lifts the trophy right?

The Mirror reckons they might scrap VAR for the remaining games as it’s just extra people having to be present for games. They also say teams might be able to field five subs to cope with fatigue etc.

Celtic fans seem to be lapping up that decision. They’re pushing to be named champions if Scotland can’t be completed.

they were champions anyway unless it's some weird American system where you can top the league & not win it because you lose in the playoffs

apparently to work out who goes into the champions league group stage, 3rd rnd playoff stage and advance to a Europa League playoff with another team in the league

Just saw this as well;

Newcastle Falcons' promotion back to the Premiership has been confirmed.

The Rugby Football Union said on Thursday the Championship table would be decided by a "best playing record formula", with Falcons having won all 15 of their league games in 2019-20.
