After being burgled, Black Books gets a new alarm and security door fitted, but Manny fails to listen to the unlock code, distracted by a little Subbuteo player in the installer's hair ("there was a little man ... in his hair"). This quickly results in Manny being trapped alone inside with only a quickly emptied bottle of Absinthe and dead bees for company and Bernard locked outside with just enough money for popcorn and a cinema ticket. Meanwhile, Fran has taken the phone off the hook to listen to silky-voiced Howell Granger read the shipping forecast on the radio, leaving Bernard to wander the streets of London penniless, cold and wet, with only an adult video-shop and the allure of fast-food employment between him and freezing

Nuts In May.

Interesting fact, my mum was in the same class in school as the brummy bloke who rocks up on the site.. Finger is it?

Brilliant film... Me and my sister used to recite the 'off to see the zoo' song perfectly

Great shout with Always Sunny.

Too many brilliant episodes of Frasier to choose one.

Lynn, you couldn't present a cat...

"I'm going to be sick agaaaaaaiiinnn!"

God I love Partridge.

Many great suggestions here, I’d like to throw Twin Peaks Season 3 episode 8 (“Gotta light?”) into the ring too, one if the most mind-blowing hours of TV I’ve ever seen

don't think i've ever been blown away more than by that one. Amazing use of TV.

The last episode of Season 1 and Season 2 stick in my mind for different reasons too. "Look to the light Leyland" and "How's Annie?"

deadwood season 3 episode 5, "a two-headed beast". al swearengen cannot for the life of him work out george hearst's motives, everything comes to a head and dan and the captain fight in the street. absolutely f***ing visceral.

can't pick one of the wire. though "a new day", season 4 episode 11, is pretty amazing. the kids at school thing all coming to a head, omar scaring prop joe to death and lester working out what chris and snoop have been doing with the bodies.

porridge - "a storm in a teacup" or "pardon me" are both genius. so is "a quiet night in".

Pine Barrens or the one where they went to Naples from The Sopranos.

I loved the episode of Fargo, series 2 when she was sticking the knife into Dod Gerhardt.

Breaking Bad, any number of episodes. The one where he confronts Tuco is awesome.

The Germans episode of Fawlty Towers is great.
