I just found out that the American musician, Gil Scott-Heron has a somewhat notable father. His name was Gil Heron from Jamaica and he was the first black player to play for Celtic.

I came across a really odd piece of trivia today.

 

Gil Scott-Heron, poet and musician of some considerable note had a father who should be more well known.

 

His name was Gil Heron and he was the first black player to play for Celtic. He was a Jamaican-Canadian who played for them in 1951-52.

 

Anyone have others? We need to know.
