Best we can hope for (in a way) is that they announce the long layoff that’s been rumoured but then he makes a better than expected recovery and is back in just after Christmas SUNDAY LUNCH. That would at least annoy our rivals.

My 9 year old has taken this very badly. Will only refer to Pickford as 'Dickford' and thinks he should be made to have a boxing match with Virge where 'he won't be able to get near him with his teeny

Ahem, It’s FNB now.

He's gonna need a specialist to looks at the scan. Otherwise it's just him and Klopp going "f*** knows, which bits the knee?"

Yeah, but we've seen similar with Ox, Matip and even Alisson

If it was ACL, I guess they would probably know that he would require surgery by now

On the Spurs documentary, they are informed of the severity of Kane's hamstring tear 48 hours after the match

Neil Jones saying club very unimpressed by report from Bein Sports (Keys) and that no scan results have come through.

Of course Keys' outlet was wrong. Football moved so far beyond the likes of him.

What a shock.

They are scaremongering c****. Still reckon it came from the deleted tweet.

That's what I took from it. Walking off rather than being stretchered might mean a couple of months rather than 7 or 8?

Hate to be doom and gloom

Sane did his ACL playing against us in the charity shield and was seen walking about with a bandage on his knee toward the end of the same match, but needed an operation and missed the rest of the season

Fingers crossed for Virgil though. Horrendous for him

Last night was mad - all media outlets were trying to get one up on each other with 'news' - as we now know, there is no real news since they've all gone quiet

injuries are weird things, apart from breaking your leg, bad ones can not hurt too much and nothing injuries can feel like you're dying. Xabi & Carra both tried to run off breaks even didn't they?

I sprained my ankle quite badly playing once & played the game out -  adrenaline is up, muscles are warm, it doesn't feel as bad as it is. I was then on crutches for 6 weeks and couldn't run for 3 months. Yeah, my level was miles different but it's the same injury

Steady on lads - it's obviously gutting to be without VVD for a period but all this retribution talk is a bit much, no?

No. You’re wrong

Doesn’t mean anything. Ings did his knee in training and walked off to the changing room.
