Weird football observations

Why do players act so f*cking mental about corners? Put it on the line. Properly.

It doesn't have to be on the line, a part of it just has to be over the line. It gives you a slightly better angle to get your foot around the ball and get whip on it if it's an in-swinger.

That's what they want you to think.

In reality, it makes fck all difference.

Corners are s*** generally.

Saw a stat a couple of years ago (it may have improved since) that you score a goal about every 45 corners (apparently the 2010 WC it was 1 from 70)

Admittedly what constitutes a goal from a corner - i.e. how many touches before it's considered open play again?

So why teams don't go for something different like a short corner as that way you're going to keep possession to do something better with the ball
