Some RIPs

Didn't someone on here have elderly neighbours who played Vera Lynn's greatest hits in the garden on repeat all day at great volume a while back?

They're in for a tough few days now.

Liam Treadwell.  Very sad.

I'd just been reading the Michael Curran article in the Cheltenham thread and then heard this news.

He was Godfather to my mate's son, met him a few times over the years. Lovely fella and genuinely horrible news. Always had a smile on his face, always good company. Tragic.

Loved the bit in an interview not long back that Mel Brooks used to go round his gaff to watch Jeopardy and then stay for tea. Every night.

he was involved in some great stuff...The Jerk and Dead men dont wear plaid are just truly hilarious.

a quick look on wikipedia and I sae the above were written by reiner, martin and george gipe

George Gipes wikipedia entry is interesting. I think he was allergic to bee stings.

Haha yeah in Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, Seinfeld goes to the house. Two of the greatest comedic minds ever just doing the most mundane things every day cos they like hanging out.

Just finished Wild and Crazy guys. Loads of good stuff about Reiner and Steve Martin's collaborations. Love those movies. Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid is a masterpiece.

Yeah that was really heart warming when Seinfeld went round, they seemed to be pretty content with their arrangement.

On Carl Reiner - this thread is a fantastic read.

EDIT  ignore that first link and use the second one (I can't delete the first one).
