Opticians

I think I may need glasses so want to get my eyes tested.

Are there any firms of opticians that are generally better than others?

Should I initially go and specifically see an independent ophthalmologist rather than go to a chain like Specsavers?

Cheers.

Get your eye test at any optician. They're much the same

Once you get your results, and if you decide to go for designer specs, get the make and model number and search online. Can save up to 150 pound on the frame and lenses.

Definitely go to a proper (likely independent) ophthalmologist for the test - then buy the specs from the cheapest shop (within reason).

This is what I do - it works well enough. The big name high street chains have a lot of offers on that your local specialists might not be able to provide, but I'd trust their testing & professionalism more I think - rightly or wrongly.

You should all go to the opticians at the bottom of my road, the woman in there is possibly the most beautiful girl I've ever seen - both before and after my eye test.

You don't need to go Stanley, given that you are happy with your current level of masturbation.

Thanks for all the advice.

I went to Specsavers and it seemed a pretty thorough test and the optician seemed knowledgeable.

It turns out I'm a bit long sighted (as expected) and need glasses for reading and using the computer.

Ordered 2 pairs of glasses - one pair with frames one pair frame less (buy one get one free).

Cost £179 but as I need them for CPU work, my company will pay £87.50 towards them.

The pair with frames will be ready in a week and the frameless take 2 weeks.

Didn't realise they took that sort of time I naively thought they could do them the same or following day.
