I was thinking of asking the missus to get me a kit for Xmas and hoping you good folk on here could suggest good starter kits?

Cheers for that Swan Red. I did have a feeling there were posts about this before, but searching for Home Brew only brought up the Economy/Tories for some reason?

DD if you pm your number I will call you. It's easy to do and cheap as. I bought a John bull ale today and it cost me £18, that's for 40 pints, and some of that purchase was for brewing sugar which will be used over several brewshttp://www.houseofhomebrew.co.uk/getting-started

Excitement level 100, just got my supplies in for Xmas, reckon I will have about 120 bottles ready to sup in a few weeks. Gonna have a wheat beer with hints of lemon and coriander, a brown ale with extra hops and an IPA from the fantastic St Peter's range.

Can't wait to start the process, got fancy sugar cheap, do they're gonna be great.
