Summer transfer thread II

You do realise you are whining about whining?

At least if I whine it's on topic.

It was a question.

You whine about every f***ing thing. All the time.

If there's not a world class goalscorer available for a decent price in Jan then this isn't the worst idea.

It's great if we get to acclimatise him for 6 months, use him instead of Lambert / Borini, just as long as he's not meant to be here to save our season, that wouldn't be fair. Can't really see us signing another forward on top though.

I doubt there would be many better ways of spending 6mil Euros in January.

Would be funny to do this and then have Brendan not play him though :D

So you seem to think, and mention it every time I post. Like some dull-witted twitter spambot.

Put me on ignore then if it annoys you so much, at least we won't have to see your tedious responses to my posts.

Not to say you're totally wrong on Gomez, but he is right on this though. Origi's dad said he's knackered after going to the World Cup as well. He's 19.

Even a stopped clock has its moments :D

He called him a child. And he whinges about every f***ing thing - we've been s*** this season, but he must be on suicide watch.

He will soon brighten up when he's playing with sterling, Markovic and sturridge. He's obviously fed up at being made to wait in Lille.

Would be a sign of of a great mentality if he was pushing to come to us.

Seeing how we've been playing, he could have gone the other way and wondered what the f*** he had done in signing for us in the first place. Great if that's not the case and he recognises the opportunity and just wants to get over here and get on with it.

we should do a straight swap with Lille for Lambert

only thing that makes sense

otherwise we're just getting done out of the Sturridge back up that we need, which, if anyone has forgotten, is someone who bursts forward at every opportunity without the ball, pointing to space in front of him

whereas Origi is more of a Heskey-type

I'm not seeing that.

An extra 6 million euro investment for a player who is ours 6 months later anyway isn't a great investment, IMO.

Only if we are completely devoid of other options would we consider that. Don't think we are getting Origi in Jan.

I wouldn't be surprised if we got him early - but prob not for as much as £5mil.

Liverpool have denied reports that on-loan striker Divock Origi will be returning to Anfield in January.

It has been suggested that 19-year-old Origi will cut short his season-long loan at Lille and return to Liverpool, costing the club £4.7 million.

Reports in the French media said an agreement between the two clubs included a clause allowing Liverpool to take the Belgium striker back in January if they needed him.

With Daniel Sturridge still unavailable through injury and Mario Ballotelli struggling to make an impact, the return of Origi seemed a possibility for Brendan Rodgers' side.

Last month, the Liverpool manager denied reports surrounding the striker's early return, insisting Origi's season-long loan was a part of the deal struck in the summer to bring the Belgium striker to Merseyside.

But with Liverpool slipping to 11th in the Premier League, rumours have continued to grow around Origi’s future.

The club have since confirmed the 19-year-old will be staying at Lille until the end of the season.

Any chance Rodgers has been overruled by the TC re Origi?

He's a kid and hardly the answer to our problems - but I'd rather have him than nothing or Borini for that matter.

At least Origi is likely to get on the pitch and give us some movement and pace up front.

origi raw, but very quick and lots of technical ability. obviously not a world beater yet, but think he helps us as it stands. getting him january better than in the summer anyway, for me, as we should know more about what we've got by then.

Seems a no brainer to take him in January for that sort of money if we can.

Desperate for bodies that may provide quality up top.

It seems the opposite of a no brainer, why pay the extra now for an unproven kid, stupid idea

He has broken into a Strong Belgian side. Got them through to knockout stage in World Cup with his goal against Russia. Not saying he is a world beater now but clearly talented. If he's up there knocking them in instead of playing without a striker when Sturridge is next injured or humping it to Lambert and it gets us into top 4 then the 4 million or so will have been a snip.

If hes not coming because we are getting a proven goalscorer then fair enough.

he's only scored 6 goals in 21 games this season.

Leave the lad at Lille. He still needs time

Know what you are saying, but how many chance does he get playing for Lille? The fact is we should be getting a big hitter in as well as this lad coming in.

We should be looking at lacette? Of lyon... Great dribbling ability and pace and just about the right age... i.e not a kid

100% agree although we may have to pay 20-25 mill to get him. Another one is Paolo Dybala but he would also be very expensive. Two great players who would fit in our style of play - fast, good movement, good one on one and good goalscorerers
