That list of signings, they are pretty much all risky for one reason or another.

 

You can't have a squad of risky buys and expect to challenge unless you really know what you're doing scouting wise and tactically.

We probably would have if United hadn't been in for him as well. I don't want us to sign ALL non risky proven quality, at this stage I can see how you can't jump straight to that level.

 

But we need to sign a couple of great players for the spine of our team who are coming into the prime of their careers who don't have injury or behaviour problems and have already played at a comparably high level.

not sure borini can even be said to be a central striker anyway. he's played there on occasions at the top level. but mostly for sunderland and roma he was most effective as a wider forward.

no, it's just 10 million that could be added to the 16 million paid for Balotelli and been used to buy someone resembling a striker for the here and now, 10 million, plus alberto plus Illori = 25 million that has contributed sweet f*** all to the team so far.

Most of us weren't keen on Bony in the summer but I guess we expected to have a better selection to choose from than what we ended up with.
