I have become the sort of c*** who wants an SUV. Maybe.

 

I quite like the look of the Hyundair Santa Fe. Any opinions?

 

Also, what do people think of lease hiring versus buying?

you actually need 2 cars

 

1 smart ride, babe magnet type thing - even if you're married you need to stay sharp

 

2 very cheap, old but reliable SUV to be wheeled out for things like trips to the lakes, transporting kids and dogs etc

 

I'd lease the former

Its a very good SUV by all accounts, but i'm not sure I could ever buy a Hyundai.

Don't have one at the moment and I need to drive wife and two kids around. I'll probably also drive to and from work. I want lots of boot space and a reasonably comfortable, reliable drive.

Mazda CX5 if you want a small SUV, Mazda3 hatchback does almost the same job though and is more fun to drive. Yes, I'm a Mazda brand advocate...

Kia Sorrento is a really nice SUV and you get a lot for your money. The Sportage is also a nice mid size SUV. I also like the Buick Enclave, not sure if you get those over in Europe.

 

We have been checking out SUV's as the Town and Country minivan is no longer needed. No more car pools to schools and soccer/baseball games as the kids are older.

My old fella is on his third Santa Fe and loves them. Genuinely, seriously impressive motors (and I;m picky), well worth a look.

And who are you/am I to argue with that?

 

I've had a few SUVs over the years - of that size, the CRV was the best at the time and the best one I ever owned. But I've never had a Qasqai, Juke, Santa Fe (obviously - who the f*** would ever admit to that?), so I bow to What Car.
