Best sports era

Say a 15 year period - what was the best sports era for all sports at the same time?

 

I'm not much of a rugby person so can't comment, but 85-2000 was pretty good...

 

Football: Maradona, van Basten, Sacchi (and then Capello's) Milan, Brazil coming up again, Ronaldo...

 

Boxing: Tyson

 

Tennis: Sampras, Agassi

 

Cricket: West Indies with Walsh, Ambrose and (briefly) Ian Bishop - a few of the old timers in the twilight of their career, Pakistan with Akram and Younis, and in the early part of that '10 year period', Imran Khan's twilight, Sachin coming through for India, Dravid, Ganguly making their mark, Australia's invincibles.

 

Was there a better 10-15 year period anywhere across all sports?
