Rainbow Ricochet

Just been reading an album review (Red Kayola's Parable of Arable Land, since you ask) which mentions a party named or associated with a thing called Rainbow Ricochet. Happened in 1968 and apaprently 11 people dies at it because of the strength of the punch. Otis Redding, Tim Leary, Stanley Kubrick and Abbie Hoffmann were in attendance. It sounds both terrible and magnificent and I'd love to read up some more on it but I can't find much by way of refernece to it on t'interent.

 

Anyone know anything more about it or can point me in the way of a book or article that might give more info?
