What are you listening to right now

Recommended Posts

I’ve been watching Daryl’s House on YouTube lately. Proper musicians and Daryl Hall seems like a good guy. For some reason, I can’t copy the link I wanted, but it was a session with The O’Jays, since #Molby mentioned they only had one song (Love train).

Anyway, if you haven’t watched the show, check it out on YouTube.

DOOM!!!!

It’s interesting to see how musicians evolve. I haven’t listened to PL for years. When they started, they were Depeche Mode wannabes. Then they drifted towards metal and now this. Cool.

Not listened to much of the early Paradise Lost stuff then?

I have the '99 album - Host. A lot could have been DM on that record.

I'm not querying the Depeche Mode comparison - I'm querying the "When they started..."

Host is their 7th studio album.

Awesome band. Taken over from LCD Sound System.

This has been humming around today for some reason.

Yes. It's fascinating. Like the music is coming from your brain rather than into your ears, moves all around your head

Gave it a go, interesting stuff. At times it just sounds like basic stereo channel switching but it has a spacious quality too it. It does have an anti social element potentially with it being head phone based but maybe they can produce it through speakers? Music is a communal experience for me. (despite listening on headphones a lot)
