5 people shot apparently, on 5th avenue, outside Empire State Building. Gunman killed by NYPD.

 

Police say several people were shot outside the Empire State Building Friday morning.

 

Authorities said emergency personnel received a call about the shooting at Fifth Avenue and 34th Street just after 9 a.m. and that units were on the scene within minutes.

 

The circumstances of the shooting weren't immediately clear. The conditions of the people shot also weren't known.
