Hey, i just came over to take a look at the internet and see that the kid has somehow erased all my desktop short cuts,total blank,any one with any idea about how to get them back? i tried dragging my worldoftanks launcher icon onto my screen so i could click on it and it disappeared now when i try to play it it gives me an error saying the launcherfile.exe is missing....i don't know.

Try right clicking on the desktop and check if there's an undo delete button. It will work if the delete is the last thing your kid did.

Right click on desktop -> view -> show desktop icons (does it have a check mark next to it, if not then click on it)

Maybe things are just hidden.

Was this installed on the desktop location, in which case your kid might actually have deleted everything. Follow this: http://www.whatthetech.com/2008/12/24/where-the-windows-recycle-bin-is-located/

 

 

And 'restore all items' unless the kid has shift + deleted stuff (unlikely), in which case we might look at system restore as an option or a recovery software.
