PPI - claiming it back

Anyone got any experienc of claiming back PPI?

 

I spoke to my bank over the phone and mentioned that I'd been paying PPI on a loan and that I didn't see why I needed it or why it was sold to me; I was told that I'd need to make a complaint. I don't fancy going down the route of doing it through any of these independent companies that advertise on the tv so wondered if anyone else on here had claimed PPI and done it directly with the bank.

 

Any advice and tips on how to approach this would be very welcome.... as long as you're not expecting a cut !

There is a standard form you can download, fill it in, send off to the bank and wait for the money

Yeah, a lot of the banks have produced standard forms to help you. There are no doubt tons of examples on the internet.

 

Give the bank as much information as you can. If they don't play ball, you can go to the Financial Ombudsman Service.
