Not in the current squad IMO.

He needs a freedom within the team, he cant have responsibility to track back - he can pretty much play anywhere in the final 3rd but he needs freedom from working the line.

If we had a much better platform ( ala Alonso & Mascherano) with a more aggressive back line that pushes up then yes, Suarez could wreck havoc by playing a withdrawn role and working off of a main striker - but I don't think we have that platform in our currnet set up

A 4-2-1-3 with Gerrard, Suarez and Carrol interchanging could be lethal.

Gerrard is wasted playing deep

Agree,

Lucas sitting deep, Carroll or an/other leading the line & Luis and Gerrard supplying from wide could be frightening.

Very dependant on the front man though.

Think it could work, but it won't happen. He's just needs better supply and movement around him. Still think Stevie off the right with a pacy left wide man is the way to go if we want two strict CM's and two upfront.

With the current players I'd go 4-2-3-1:

Reina

Johnson Skrtel. Agger. Enrique

Lucas Henderson

Kuyt. Gerrard. Suarez

Carroll

Bellamy as the impact sub.

A few positions up for grabs depending on who we can bring in during the transfer window.

Luis works the line like a beast - he's not afraid of putting a defensive shift in.

My point is that he'd get far more freedom on the left without a giant centre half stuck halfway up his a***, would have the beating of most right backs in the world, and would allow the rest of the team more time to join attacks than when played down the middle.

I might be wrong, but there's a first time for everything*

One of the biggest criticism of Dirk in the early days was that he would work like a demon - sadly his endeavour would leave him absent from the critical areas at the critical times.

If Suarez is to play wide left/right then I woulld prefer it in a 'true' 4-3-3. His midfield should bear bear the brunt of the work with Suarez playing very high up the pitch with confidence in the men behind him.

I don't think we're many players off a 4-3-3.

Yeah. I'm coming round to that
