Put it away for now, it's holding us back just as much as the owners.

We've had the "Hodgson for England" thing.

We've had the FOAR - "Where once we watched the King Kenny play " thing - very cryptic but it was lost to many.

The time has come to actually chant for his sacking.

We need to let the owners know in no uncertain terms that enough is enough. Don't forget they are getting briefed by Ayre and Purslow who employed this f***** in the first place.

By refusing to go against the "Liverpool Way" you are keeping Hodgson in a job.

Maybe the owners think that it's not the "Liverpool Way" to sack him ??? Well it's time they learned surely ?

i've got to be honest, whilst i laughed at the Hodgson For England chants at the Wolves game i couldn't bring myself to sing along - despite the fact i agree.. to sing actively for the sacking of our manager - whoever that may be - seems almost 'small time' BUT i totally agree with your assessment that we as fans need to sing it.. we need to let it be known he's not wanted.. if the owners are taking their time to act then maybe the singing would push Roy towards resigning.. who knows?.. but still, whilst i'd applaud those who sang i still don't think i could myself..

This is the whole point though, it's time to bite the bullet. There are no high horses anymore.

it's not a high horse mate.. it just wouldn't feel right.. and that's just because of me - as a person - and nothing to do with 'the Liverpool Way' or anything (which was gone long ago in my eyes i'm afraid).. and yet, i agree totally that this is required - if only to put pressure on the guy himself..

Championship football wouldn't feel right either.

At the begining of the game, when the team come out, and everyone's singing, there's a sense of unity between team and fans that we're going to win this game together. At that stage, and whilst the game is still winnable it feels like singing anti-manager songs is like betraying the team you're meant to be supporting. When the cause is lost, and at 3-0 down the ambiguity is gone, it felt reasonable to be venting spleen.

The thing that I hate the most (and I can only be honest here, I know some will berate me for saying this)

As I was walking up Darwen Road to my car, I heard the muted cheer that met Gerrards goal...guessed it was us...Guessed it was about ten mins left

As I got in my car, 5 Live went to Ewood for the pen, and every fibre in my body wanted Gerrard to miss

I didnt want a heroic comeback, I didnt want a near miss....

I wanted us to lose badly, to hasten Hodgson sacking, and to show the rest fo the country what a c*** we have in charge

i hate myself for that, but most of all I hate Hodgson for making me feel like that

I'm with you on all of that.

I only watched it on the telly but when I heard Gerrard had missed a penalty, my reaction was "good".

By that stage I felt exactly the same. I thought 3-2 would muddy the issue.

I'm past all this, he's gone. I wanted us to win 4-3, he'd still be gone, but 3 points might be needed to keep us up. Get real lads.

Not your place to tell people how to feel, is it?

I didnt choose to feel like that

If I am honest I felt the same at Anfield v Wolves in the final few mins....Kyraigkos up top, if he got a header and it ended 1-1....

I want us to win, but I dont want us scraping draws when it is clear we have been second best

It is how I feel

That is exactly how I felt and I was watching SSN. When they said Gerrard had missed I punched the air as if we had of scored it would have been a glorious/almost glorious comeback. I said to the wife I bet he missed on purpose. hmmmm

Not alone there lad.

I was the same when Skrtl's goal was disallowed against Wolves.

Last night was fascinating though in a sickening way. I don't think I've ever been so engrossed in a match that way: where the 'entertainment' was watching how many mistakes we were making, how sloppy we looked, how quickly they could counter attack...and thinking about wins in the San Siro, Bernabau, Velodrome...

I can't do that against the mancs though.

I'm not telling people how to feel. I'm trying to put some perspective in by pointing out that our first priority must be staying in the premiership. People are getting so wrapped up in their frustration and loathing over Hodgson they're missing the bigger issue, that we are in real danger of getting sucked into a dog fight we could lose. If we were safe, out of the cups and no chance of Europe and with Roy's tenure still in the balance I'd feel exactlly the same way as Dave and I'm not pointing the finger at how he feels. In reality Hodgson is dead and buried, he'll be gone soon enough but we are all so desperate to end this pain we're getting twitchy. I'm more concerned now we can get somebody in to stop this rot, it should be easy enough but.......
