Dear Mr Henry and Mr Werner,

There are many questions I would love to hear your answers on, but the single most important question practically every Liverpool fan needs answering is this: How much worse do we have to get before we dismiss the manager?

The most frustrating thing about this season, after our poor form, is that the league is so close, a top class interim manager could have managed us, with the current squad, to the fringes of the Champions League. This would earn us so much more money and continue the rebuilding project you started when you took over. Unfortunately, Roy Hodgson has shown that he is incapable of putting together any sort of form that would give us a chance at 4th place or higher, and in particular, is continuing his inability to get any sort of result away from home. Whilst some blame has to lie at the feet of the players, Mr Hodgson must take the majority and analysis of his past record at other clubs in this division, and indeed in his entire managerial career has shown he has never corrected this problem. I urge you to not allow this season to be wasted, as we run the real risk of making the rebuilding job far more expensive and difficult, when our best players such as Fernando Torres and Pepe Reina decide another season outside the Champions League and working under a manager who is completely out of his depth is not for them.

I hope I haven't come across as a ranting idiot, but as a extremely worried and frustrated fan.

Yours,

Jernau Morat Gurgeh/DarkBailo

Email sent,

Dear americans, i was going to ask about the new stadium and the regeneration of the local area which has been put back some years by the previous regime. Instead i'd like to take the opportunity to say, sack this english bastid for the good of the club and its fans mental health.

Nice one XxX

First, welcome. I’m glad you’re on board as I have heard and read good things about you, in particular your use of research/stats to help influence your strategic decisions.

Second, on the above point, I wondered if you could enlighten us as to what stats exist that justify keeping one of the worst managers in Liverpool’s history? Whilst you think about that, here’s a stat for you. Over 90% of Liverpool fans want Hodgson sacked.

Yours.

Paul

If 10,000 people ring to give out about Roy they'll struggle to find the 5 people who want to talk about anything else.

Like a few weeks ago, possibly after Stoke, when the post-match phone-in was on. They had "technical problems with the phone lines" so asked people not to call. I'm guessing they were inundated with Hodgson Out calls.

About 10 minutes from the end the end the lines were OK again. All the callers they had on were people who they have on all the time - Eddie from Woolton and some bloke from Thetford - never once made any criticism of Hodgson

Expect more of the same this evening, nice bland callers making non-controversial comments

How about a sort of backhanded question about Roy, like "How much of an impact do Mr Henry and Mr Werner feel it will have on their plans and their ability to attract the right kind of players if Liverpool do not qualify for European competition for next season?"

Dear John Henry,

Firstly I would like to congratulate you on your achievements in building the American rail network. I hear a popular song has been written about these achievements.

Secondly would you please sack the Owl faced, turkey necked, geriatric turd, who is currently bluffing and bulls***ting his way through being Liverpool manager. He is without doubt the worst manager in Liverpool's history. There are plenty of stats to back this up, but I'm a lazy man and can't be bothered to post them in this correspondence. Any google search will however provide you with enough statistics to show his appalling record that will keep you busy to the grave.

Yours sincerely

Mr R Moustache

P.S. Did I mention he looks like a lesbian inmate from Prisoner Cell block H. This alone should be be enough reason to sack Hodger the Todger. If you haven't seen the programme I'm sure Tom Werner can fill you in, as I hear he's an expert in bad 80's televsion and lesbian pensioner porn.

P.P.S. Don't forget to sack the senile old spunker.

Not as entertaining as the one above...

Dear Mr Henry and Mr Werner,

Until the arrival of the previous owners, Liverpool Football Club had always prided itself on doing things in the right way. Business was conducted in private, managers were given time, everything was done with dignity. Unfortunately Hicks and Gillett did great damage to that tradition. You appear to be men of a completely different breed, who already act in a way that fits in with the traditions of the club. One of the sad after effects of Hicks and Gillett's tenure is that the fans have been put in a position where they feel forced to call for the manager's head, something that is very much not in our tradition. The post of manager has always been one that has been afforded great respect by the fans, and the holders of that post have been respected merely for holding it.

Mr Hodgson is a manager with a long and varied career in football, but had it not been for the problems with the previous regime, he would never have been considered as a prospective manager of the club. The current situation is hurting both the club and Mr Hodgson. It is damaging our future and, for him, will prove to be a blemish towards the end of an otherwise respectable career as a football manager.

I feel that the position of the manager needs to be addressed as a matter of urgency and the most careful consideration given to finding the right man to take us forward and building a solid foundation from which we can challenge for titles over the coming seasons.

In the 48 years since we were promoted to the top division, we have never finished below 8th. I fear that this season we may fail to do so by some distance. Fourth place already seems a distant dream. Something needs to change very soon if we are not to fall out of the big four for the foreseeable future.

My question for you today is whether there is something that the fans don't know that might make them believe that Mr Hodgson is the right man for the club.

Thank you.

Indeed, similar to the one I sent.

Mr Henry & Mr Werner,

I've been a Liverpool fan for as long as I can remember and have always been a hugely proud Red who supported and defended the club at all times. There have been some amazing times in my life time, European cup finals, FA Cups, League trophies and some of the greatest players the football world has ever seen.

Some of my earliest memories in football are the teams that were assembled by Kenny Dalglish, players like the great man himself, Ian Rush, John Barnes, Peter Beardsley and so on, as a club we were the most feared in the land winning trophy after trophy and teams fear playing us home or away. Sadly times changed in the 90s and it's been a long and slow rebuild but finally over the past 5 years under Rafa we once again become feared across Europe, we once again become an established European giant who no team wanted to play against.

Unfortunately there was a cancer behind the scenes destroying the club named Hicks and Gillet and they slowly ripped the heart out of the club before pulling the carpet from under Rafa and one of their final acts was to remove him and replace him with a sub standard manager with a history of failing.

I'm sure that you have all the facts and figures already on Roy Hodgson and are more than aware of his record at previous clubs so I won't go into all those details, all I ask is that you consider his position at the club. This season is the first I haven't bought a Liverpool shirt, it's the first where I don't feel completely depressed after a loss, it's the first where I half expect to lose every game and it's the first where I haven't defended Liverpool Football Club, more often than not I'll agree with fans of other clubs that we are no longer good enough and that our manager is no longer good enough.

Please please please take this club back to where we belong and please start that process by removing our clueless manager from the club and installing someone who can take us back to greatness, if that man isn't available then you need look no further than Kenny Dalglish as someone who can instill the pride back into our club in the short term. Please do not write this season off, the Champions League places are still within reach under the right man, unfortunately Roy Hodgson is not that man.

Thanks

Rich

No offense to anyone but we need to get to the question quicker in these letters.

There won't be time to read a letter from everyone. For the people working in production on the show, never mind Werner and Henry there aren't enough hours in the day.

I agree to a point, but a terse "When are you going to sack Hodgson?" isn't going to get on air either.

Dear John and Thomas,

First of all I would like to send my deepest thanks for basically saving this club from the previous owners of our beloved football club – make no mistake you have purchased the greatest football club on earth and I dearly welcome you both to our club.

Having been supporting this club for 29 years both passionately and wholeheartedly I want to express my concern at the way this club is currently going and ask you when you will change this?

I firmly agree with the 95% of Liverpool fans who think this manager we have a) is not a ‘Liverpool’ manager and b) simply isnt good enough for us if we want to stop this truly horrid slide into the wilderness which is the most painful thing to watch, when like myself, you love this club dearly.

PLEASE I’m literally begging you to think about where we will be if this continues any longer, I have and it literally terrifies me. The longer this carries on the longer and more difficult your task will be to get us back to the top.

This season is breaking my heart.

Subject: The Elephant In the room

Dear Mssrs Henry and Werner,

Please can you acknowledge that you are aware of just how big an issue the managerial situation is with the fans? I am certain others will have catalogued his failings both on and off the pitch so I won't go into that, but this situation is not normal for Liverpool, we are not fickle 'sack the manager' quick-fix types found elsewhere in this country as you would know with a look at our recent history. But we know our football, we know what it takes to win the big trophies and we know when something is fundamentally flawed.

His departure is inevitable sooner or later, this is not going to get better, the fact that the normally sacrosanct fan-manager relationship is beyond repair seems obvious to everyone except yourselves. We are all waiting and nothing is happening.

If you are aware of the situation, and have decided not act until the summer, then as you are effectively writing off the rest of this season, then will you be refunding season tickets? This season does not have to be a write off, but you need to act soon.

If you are not aware of it, then please, do not take my word for it, but meet and survey the fans, not those filtered through Sky Sports or Radio 5. It will really become obvious.

Cheers,

Alex Mc

I think these are his stats away from home with Fulham and Liverpool:

W D L F A

3 7 9 16 29 2007/8

3 8 8 11 18 2008/9

1 7 11 12 31 2009/10

1 2 6 6 16 2010/11

Does anyone have his win % away from home overall as a manager in England.....was it something like 13%?
