Harry Redknapp is ready to call on his son Jamie and nephew Frank Lampard in the search for new Tottenham Hotspur recruits this January.

The White Hart Lane boss insists he won't be making wholesale changes when the transfer window opens, but admits he is a midfielder light.

Redknapp has already shown an interest in Sandro, a 20-year-old Brazil international playing for Porto Alegre-based club Internacional.

But the former Portsmouth boss says he has well-placed spies to help him hunt out talent closer to home.

'If I was looking for a player from Chelsea, I would speak to young Frank (Lampard) or Joe Cole,' Redknapp told the London Evening Standard.

'If I was looking for somebody from Liverpool, Jamie would speak to Carragher or Gerrard for me.

'I am happy with the squad. The only area we are short of a body is central midfield.

'I have got Wilson (Palacios), Tom (Huddlestone) and JJ (Jermaine Jenas): only three central midfield players, but that is not enough.'

Could he not do a quite, above board sort of wheelin'/dealin' sort of thing with Portsmouth?
