If Gillet & Hicks and their cronies

For instance, I stopped going to Anfield under Souness after he appeared on the front of that rag. I still went the away games but I refused to give the club any of my money whilst he was still employed there.

I am just trying to loosely gauge the lengths people will go to support Rafa.

Despite of what is thought of me, and despite doing a job I love - I would seriously consider it.

no. if we ended up in the unibond with G&H in charge i'd still go. this is our club. not theirs

its kinda what g&h rely on, the fan loyalty but yeah, i think i'd probably still go, still curse and moan, cheer and cry, whatever league. The only thing that would in all honesty bring an end to my football attending days is a 'sugar daddy' allowing whoever is in charge to buy anyone. Although it would prove successful and it would be nice to win the league and have bragging rights for a while, it would feel incredibly hollow.

I dont like many footballers as it is now they are so far removed from reality with their wages and crying that they only get 80'000 pounds a week. To have a sugar daddy, means every mercenary c*** would probably want to play for us. Some c*** who wouldn't play for us while we were cash strapped coming out in the paper begging to play for us now we are loaded.

Kissing the badge like it meant something.

And i imagine before long there'd be an even smaller pool of competitors, a couple of rich t***s, owning a few clubs and having showcase games all over the place for a few show piece trophies.

I just want an owner who can provide our manager with funds made from our earnings. A decent manager who doesn't whine cos he hasn't got a blank cheque book and revels in the challege to compete, to find good young players and help develop them and sign players who genuinely want to play for us regardless of where they are from or where we are at.

Its not much to ask for!

Who and what is the club though? The gimps own it the financial entity but they could never understand what it is or how the people who have made it think about it. They do have the capacity to destroy it in its current form but it will continue no matter what.

Rafais someone who understands what the club means, cares about it in a way that we all do and has given everything to achieving what is its fundamental purpose; to win and make the people proud. If he got sacked, god knows how I'd feel. In between all the piss taking that has been going on from my United supporting friends, I was thinking what if the gimps decided to appoint Mourinho and lets say he won the league. How would I feel? The conclusion I came to was that I wouldn't care because he is everything that the club is not. Winning is always about him. Liverpool winning is always about the club, the team and the people.

Or put it another way, could you imagine Bill Shankly regarding him as worthy custodian of his legacy? I can't.

Don't know why I am torturing myself about this because today I hate f***ing football.

Anyone who supports the manager over the club doesn't deserve to be called a fan.

Unfortunately, that s*** house Hicks knows this more than we do.

That unfortunately is the crux of the matter. It's a no win situation. All they care about is the worth of the club and the fact that better results bring more money.

We are screwed, end of. The yanks are going nowhere - they will keep juggling the money and this is what we have for a while yet.

I think you will find it is their club not ours. That's just the way it is

in some respects it's a tough question - if it could/would get rid of the owners, then what?

As we all know, you can't change your club - in fact reminds me of the story anny road told about the father telling his son that we are 'chosen' to support Liverpool; everyone else is a poor f***** because they weren't - but as a means to an end?

Fabulous way of putting it,

I support Liverpool. I have since 1968. I will always support Liverpool. It doesn't matter what manager, what players and what owners we have. It doesn;t matter what division we are in.

LFC will always effect my life, both good and bad. I can't help it.

And I'm OK with that.
