Just booked for a 10 day break later in the year (hurricane season ) at Cayo Guillermo (the Melia hotel) and looking back on old archived threads I saw that Javi... had stayed there. Anyone else been , any advice, what's to look out for?

Hurricanes - get in pool thats what we did never suffered badly even flew to havana and watched them attack miami - dont worry sure you'll be fine

I went to Varadero - that's up there on the north. Don't take any lofty expectations of cuisine etc & you'll love the place
