Been binge watching the Harry Potter movies with the kids - they really are very good. I’m glad I waited till they were 10 and 12 though, as they are actually pretty dark! I think we’d have had some hiding behind the couch and nightmares a few years ago.

And that’s just me.

They are probably white supremacist novels, according to Joanne Rowlings world view. We will be calling them out one day.

They're kids movies and you're all over analysing the s*** out of them. Stop it. Kids like them. They're not meant for you. Also if it means later in life kids grow up to watch films starring Maggie Smith, Gary Oldman, Brendan Gleeson, David Thewlis, Richard Harris, Alan Rickman, Julie Walters and all the other great actors that were in them, that's a good thing.

OK, here's a challenge. 3 films for Halloween, what you going for?

Halloween, The Exorcist, Nightmare on Elm Street.

Assuming the audience is over ten years old.

Yes, let's assume.

Not seen any, which is weird but am in *such* a horror mood.

Yeah I was planning The Thing and Event Horizon definitely, possibly Hellraiser too.

The original I hope.

Oh yeah should've clarified that I guess.

But you guys know me well enough to know it could've only have been the original :)

Babbadook is really good.

Society’s got the lad from Baywatch in, hasn’t it?

Years ago, I watched a film with my older brothers in which there’s a scene where a group of kids stage a bloody massacre using home-made special effects. It involved a severed tongue and a hand walking on it’s own. Scared the sh*t out of me - I hated gore.

In my head it’s got the blonde lad from Weird Science in but I may have conflated that with all the films i watched with my brothers in the 80’s and 90’s.

Any ideas?
