just watched the horse whisperer on my brand new f***ing huge telly and it was boss.
I was planning to buy a brand new f***ing huge telly til my son told me on Thursday that he'd spent all his overdraft and had no money to pay his uni fees with.
and I get how that can grate having listened to Tom Cruise's memorable one in Home and Away, but will the vast majority of the audience know or really care?
He's added Australian to his repetoire?!
Oops, though it was probably closer to a mangled Australian accent than an Irish one.
That'll be Far And Away then, you loon
Unbreakable will be on ITV tonight.
Got a day off tomorrow, and can't decide between Eastern Promises, Wall-e, The Mist, Flags of Our Fathers or The Assassination of Jessie James
Jesse James is the winner there.
Jesse James is the winner there.Great film.
Was heading in that direction
Great film is a tad kind.
really enjoyed jesse james. slow but really well made.
the mist is f***ing odd.
Did you like the ending?
yeah i think so. it was a weird b-movie quality for ages and then had a really good ending.
I know, I only watched it because Kermode kept going about the ending
Watched The Prestige last night. Never heard of it before - got it on reccommendation from my internet film place. It's bloody good despite David Bowie being in it
Nah, I enjoyed it.
...Jesse James along with There Will Be Blood were the two best films of 2008 IMO
watched The Wave last night...pretty good overall despite getting a bit predictable as it went on..deffo worth a watch.
Saw Son Of Rambow the other night. Expected nothing. It was terrific. Genuinely recommend it.
After Slumdog Millionaire, I've watched Sunshine and Millions over the last few days? Is there a current British director who has a filmography that matches his? In the last 15 years he's directed:
- Shallow Grave
- A Life Less Ordinary
- The Beach
- 28 Days Later
- Slumdog Millionaire
Only A Life Less Ordinary and The Beach are no worth watching
Sunshine was rubbish.
cracking isn't it? really enjoyed that.
sunshine is twaddle by the way.

Do you mean Shane Meadows?
three films you can live very happily without ever seeing:
i watched rocknrolla just to see how bad it was, and it is genuinely worse than i thought it could be. several decent actors cheapen themselves by appearing in it as it really is the worst kind of guy ritchie gunsngangsters drivel imaginable. f*** knows what he's going to do to sherlock holmes.
