Guardian reports new Gerrard contract

Tom Hicks said the other day (may have been George Gillett) that one of the next things that needs doing is tying Stevie, Xabi, Carra, Pepe and one other - can't remember who it was - to the club long term asap. I can't see them having any trouble doing that, somehow.

hmmmm

well for one, Gerrards autobiography... I wouldnt believe anything in that as they are all total s***.. Gattuso is a fairly decent guy, however if he was being arrogant as those quotes do sound.. then f*** it, we'll stugff them.

I know Milan are out for revenge but if any of their players think we as less skillful than man utd or that we will in anyway be easy to beat like utd then they're in for a big shock.

I don't for a minute believe that any of the milan players especially Gattuso who was 1 step away from throwing himself in the river, are expecting a win against liverpool. They might have made the final 4 time in 5 years but we;ve made the final 2 in 3.. if utd are more skillful then why did they only have 1 good game this year in the entire CL campaign, maybe 2 max? Utd went in over confident and that was a good thing for milan so i find it odd that Gattuso would want to fire liverpool up.. we're the best feckin team in the world when people assume they will beat us.

im baffled but if a war of words arrises then I can see us doing our talking in just under 3 weeks from now.

"What they have is a way of playing as a team," Looks like Gatusso has missed the point a bit. We're not as good as Milan technically but there's no way we're gonna let them play the way they did against united. Mascherano's gonna be all over Kaka like a bad ass motherf*****

I thought Rafa said before 1st leg v Chelsea that all contract talks were halted until the end of the season so they can focus on the games in hand!

Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard has revealed he is in talks over a new contract that could tie him to Anfield for the rest of his career.

Gerrard, 26, is expected to sign at least a four-year deal worth about £120,000 a week after leading Liverpool to the Champions League final.

He said: "I'm in talks to extend my contract at Liverpool and I've never been happier with my football.

"I'd love nothing better than to get this contract sorted and signed."

He's off to Chelsea. Never been more obvious.

I dont blame him. Chelsea are playing for honors on all four fronts, we are out of the league, out of both cups and are going to find it really difficult to reverse the deficit against chelsea in the second leg.
