I think that left-back is probably the Jamie's least favoured position and probably his worst. However playing in his worst postition is better than Ashley Cole is his natural position.

I have never realised how reliant Cole is on his left foot before the game on Wednesday. Jamie looked far more comfortable than Cole as an England left back and did not deserve to get dropped.

I can understand playing Cole against Andorra for his attacking abilities, but I cannot remember one incident when he got down the left. The left side of Cole and Downing was extremely poor.

Cole is a good player but has a far to high an opinion of himself and the importance of his position.

With an attitude like that he'll never achieve a lot.

He should have stayed at Arsenal.

Think it's Cole's attitude that is at fault and a lack of fitness after his injury. Money grabbing back stabbing t*** he may be but he has proven many tines that he is a top class left back at the highest levels of football.

Agree, and I'd say to SpiritualWarrier base your opinions on his performances for Arsenal/Chelsea not a s*** England team...

I honestly think that JC will one day be the coach of LFC. After reading Rafa recent article on JC, you get the feeling that he has all the requirements to be a great coach. He lives and breaths football and everyone at the club and on here know that.

Being an effective coach/manager is as much as knowing your stuff but knowing how to communicate to those who don't. Carra (or any other bright manager) can know everything worth knowing in the game but if you can't convery that to those around you, and have the patience to keep trying when it's not working, then you're not gonna be a good coach.

Remains to be seen really.
