Very Small Golf Bet, Huge Odds...

...I know its setting yourself up for a fall recommending a bet, particularly one which will probably not come off, but the odds on this one are so high I thought why not?

You can get 300-1 on Hideto Tanihara to win the US PGA Championship with Ladbrokes who pay out on the top 5. He's top of the Japanese money list, and came fifth in The British Open at Hoylake.

I watched the lad all the way round at Hoylake, and he is a very, very talented golfer. The conditions at Hoylake would have been pretty much alien to him, but the way he coped with them was very admirable. His iron play was fantastic, and he showed real balls to come back from double bogeying the 6th when he had to play out sideways from a bunker then duffed his chip.

He's quite young and just really coming through to show what he can do, rising to around 100th in the world now. He's also just won his last tournament in Japan as well.

We all throw a few quid away every day; if you've got £2 to spare put a quid each way on him. I mean he may well miss the cut, but I'm telling you that you'll never see a better 300-1 bet anyway whether it comes off or not. You'd probably only get Charlton to win the league or something in football...
