advise on tax

if i sell stuff say electronics worth 100k making a profit of around 10k buying the stuff in the us and selling it in canada..the payment maybe recieved and made from my uk account.. am i liable to tax in the uk .. one more point though, do the banks do anything to it as this would be the personal account
