    A European treble 1984 - John Wark bagged a hat-trick as we beat Polish champions Lech Poznań 4-0 at Anfield to progress to the Second Round of the European Cup 5-0 on aggregate, having also scored our goal in the away leg. Paul Walsh was also on target that night.     Treble from the spot 1986 - Jan Mølby scored a hat-trick of penalties at Anfield past ex-red Steve Ogrizovic in our 3-1 League Cup Fourth Round replay defeat of Coventry City. This is reputedly the first reds game that current skipper Steven Gerrard attended. Rafa’s record 2008 - Steven Gerrard headed the only goal of the game as we entertained Olympique de Marseille in a Champions League group game.     Happy birthday Jerzy 1973 - Jerzy Dudek was born in Rybnik. The big Pole in our goal made 186 reds appearances after signing from Feyenoord for £4.85m in August 2001, helping us to glory in Istanbul, as well as the Worthington Cup in 2003. He left to join Real Madrid in July 2007, although he barely featured for their first team.
