    Anfield trebles 1956 - Half-back Johnny Wheeler scored a quick-fire hat-trick to hand us a 4-1 Second Division win over Port Vale, with his goals coming between the 81st and 85th minutes. Billy Liddell scored our other goal. 1945 - Forward Willie Fagan bagged all the goals in our 3-0 Wartime League defeat of Newcastle United. 1951 - We also faced the Geordies, with Jimmy Payne netting in our 1-1 top-flight draw at St. James’ Park.     Titi’s tears 1999 - Titi Camara scored the only goal of the game at home to West Ham United, and then broke down in tears as he celebrated. He later revealed that his father had died earlier that day, “That goal was for my dad. It contributed to an extremely emotional day in my life. I did not want to let my team-mates down, which is why I insisted on playing. With Michael Owen and Robbie Fowler both injured, they needed me.” On the same day, Michael Foley played for the Irish Under-16’s as they beat Switzerland 1-0 in a European Championships qualifier in Dublin.     In comes Razor 1987 - Ray Houghton signed from Oxford United for £825,000. He went on to strike 38 times in 202 reds games, helping us to two League titles, two FA Cups and the FA Charity Shield in his five years at Anfield. He was sold to Aston Villa for £900,000 in July 1992, as Graeme Souness tried to reduce the number of non-Englishmen in the squad, to comply with UEFA regulations for European competition.
