Champagne Charlie 1953 - Graeme Souness was born in Edinburgh. He won five League titles, three European Cups, four League Cups and three FA Charity Shields after signing from Middlesbrough for £352,000 in January 1978. Titi’s tears 1999 - Titi Camara scored the only goal of the game at home to West Ham United, and then broke down in tears as he celebrated. He later revealed that his father had died earlier that day, “That goal was for my dad. It contributed to an extremely emotional day in my life. I did not want to let my team-mates down, which is why I insisted on playing. With Michael Owen and Robbie Fowler both injured, they needed me.” On the same day, Michael Foley played for the Irish Under-16’s as they beat Switzerland 1-0 in a European Championships qualifier in Dublin.
