    A Norwegian nightmare 1974 - We secured our record victory, thumping Norwegians Strømsgodset 11-0 at Anfield in our opening game of that season’s European Cup Winners’ Cup campaign. Midfielder Brian Hall was the only outfield player not to score, with Phil’s Boersma and Thompson grabbing a brace apiece.     European semi-finals 2001 - We became only the second team ever to stop Barcelona from scoring in both legs of a European tie, winning our UEFA Cup second leg at Anfield 1-0.
